The high-capacity version of the Star-Ion™ A300 IC anion column is particularly suitable for the determination of bromate in the ppb range. Thanks to its high capacity it is often possible to eliminate or minimize sample preparation. On the Phenomenex Star Ion A300 HC, chloride elutes before bromate.
The system peak as well as high carbonate concentration interfer with the chloride peak. Here the use of the 853 «MCS» – Metrohm CO2 Suppressor is recommended.
