The 812 Valve Unit is used for switching eluent flows automatically. It is available in two versions: Version 2.812.010 has one electrically operated six-way valve, version 2.812.020 has two of them. All valve parts that come into contact with the eluent are made of PEEK.
The instrument is equipped with its own power supply and can therefore be operated independently. In combination with the 816 IC Eluent Selector, the two-valve version can be used for automatically switching between two columns with intermediate rinsing. When combined with the 2.812.0020 Valve Unit and the 816 Eluent Selector, the 761 Compact IC can be extended to form a combined anion and cation system. The intermediate rinsing reliably prevents the anion eluent from entering the cation column and vice versa; this accelerates the establishment of equilibrium in the columns and has a positive effect on their working lives.
Together with the 817 Bioscan or the 791 IC-VA Detector, the 812 Valve Unit can be used as the system injection valve. It can also be used in various sample preparation techniques.
