With the 828 IC Dual Suppressor Metrohm has solved the equation

This means that you buy two suppressors and actually receive three:
- one chemical suppressor
- one CO2 suppressor, and
- one electronic suppressor.
The continuous mode of operation of the 828 IC Dual Suppressor allows gradient systems to be realized in a simple way. The H+cations required for anion suppression are produced electrochemically. As the 828 IC Dual Suppressor is also able to eliminate CO2 this opens up a whole new field of applications: the flexible carbonate/hydrogen carbonate system can be used without any restrictions. The injection and carbonate peaks are reduced to an absolute minimum. Of course, the 828 IC Dual Suppressor can also be used to suppress the conductivity of concentrated sodium and potassium hydroxide eluents.
Together with the unique electronic suppression of the Metrohm 819 Conductivity Detector, extremely low detection limits can be achieved. It is usually possible to dispense with large sample loops and sample preconcentration.
