«ITrode ready»
The iTrodes of the intelligent electrode generation allow the storage of important sensor data (article and serial numbers, calibration data, calibration history, working life and calibration validity period). All sensor data is read in automatically when the iTrode is connected to the Titrando and the electrode is identified automatically. If the type of electrode is not the same as the one defined in the method, then the user is informed. The calibration data stored in the chip makes the electrode transferable. Therefore, it does not need to be recalibrated each time it is used with a different instrument.
Compatible with all existing sensors
Despite its new digital measuring interface and intelligent sensors, the Titrando with combined analogue and digital measuring amplifier also supports conventional sensors. This consists of one high-impedance and one polarised measuring input, a separate reference input and an input for a Pt 1000 or NTC temperature sensor.
Potentiometric Titration
The Titrando supports all potentiometric titration modes: DET (Dynamic Equivalence point Titration), MET (Monotonic Equivalence point Titration) and SET (titration to one or two preset endpoints).
Ion Meter
With the measuring mode MEAS not only pH, potential and temperature can be measured; the direct determination of the concentration with ion-sensitive electrodes is also possible.
Comprehensive Liquid Handling
Basic daily laboratory operations such as pipetting, transferring, dosing, dispensing and diluting become perfectly easy thanks to the new liquid handling functions of the Titrando. The Dosino guarantees outstanding accuracy and precision throughout the whole range from 10 µL to 100 mL, i.e. across four orders of magnitude.
4 MSB Connections
The four built-in MSBs (Metrohm Serial Bus) allow control of up to 4 Dosinos or Dosimats, 4 magnetic or rod stirrers and 4 Remote Boxes for automation. Plug and play: just plug in the peripheral device and get started!
USB Connection
Two USB – ports are available for communication with balances and color printers. Laboratory balances can be connected via an RS-232 converter.
The Dosino – space-saving engineering
Titration is really just intelligent dosing. With the Titrando dosing takes place with Dosino and Dosing Unit, mounted directly onto the reagent bottle. The Dosing Unit is equipped with a datachip containing all the information about the reagent and Dosing Unit required for the titration. Each Dosing Unit has its own serial and cylinder numbers and is supplied with an individual certificate.
Operation
You can choose how to operate your Titrando system:
- by Touch Control - a modern operating unit with ethernet connection for your laboratory bench
- The Titrando can also be operated by PC with the titration software tiamo™. Aside from standard functions for controlling a Titrando, tiamo™ also offers numerous other work facilitating functions (a client-server database, real parallel titration - working with two titration cells simultaneously)
Automation without limits
Increasing numbers of samples, time-consuming sample preparation steps and unattended overnight operation quickly justify the use of a sample changer. The Titrando has the necessary intelligence for controlling sample changers.
