The Metrosep A Supp 10 – 75 separation column is based on a high-capacity styrene/divinylbenzene copolymer having a particle size of only 4.6 µm. Metrohm has optimized this time-tested column concept, which is characterized by its robustness, high selectivity and excellent separation performance. By variation of temperature, flow rate and eluent composition, the column characteristics can be adapted to the application at hand.
The capacity of the A Supp 10 – 75 was optimized taking into account the two criteria of matrix and speed. In samples having a high ionic strength it is possible, for example, to achieve the baseline separation of phosphate in cola drinks. Even in the presence of high amounts of nitrate and sulfate the analysis takes less than 7.5 minutes. In the analysis of air samples high sample throughputs are also of prime importance. Here the A Supp 10 – 75 is fully capable of meeting the high requirements due to the highly variable denuder samples that are collected at a high rate during flight.
