AB-100 Bi-amperometric determination of potassium and/or ammonium
Bi-amperometric determination of potassium and/or ammonium

Potassium (or ammonium) is precipitated with sodium tetraphenylborate and the excess reagent back-titrated with thallium(I). The endpoint is indicated bivoltammetrically. Under acidic conditions ammonium is also determined, but can previously be removed by boiling in alkaline solution. Methods for the determination of potassium in the presence of large excesses of sodium, ammonium, calcium and magnesium are also given.
